Composite Steel Concrete Beam Floor Systems

The scope of this review paper is to give an overview of current developments in steel concrete composite scc beams and flooring systems as well as to clarify and support future research directions and trends which the industry will take in the coming years.
Composite steel concrete beam floor systems. Conventional composite steel concrete floor framing consists of rather deep steel beams and girders which provide the most cost effective design in terms of tonnage of structural steel used. As it was told earlier the composite flooring system has been designed at first for non residential building. Each specimen was constructed as a partially composite beam consisting of a lightweight concrete slab cast on 76 mm 3 in deep ribbed steel decking and a w18 35 steel beam acting compositely via 19 mm 3 4 in diameter steel headed stud anchors welded on the top flange. This study deals with compartment fire experiments on 12 8 m long composite floor beams with various end support conditions.
Collaboration of steel and concrete parts of the structure is provided by anchors welded on the upper flange of the i beam.
